Hindi Script

Learning Hindi will involve learning new symbols popularly known as Devanagari Script. Let us understand what this script is and how a Devanagari alphabet is different than an English alphabet(latin script).

The word Devanagari is composed of two words :  Devaa which means God and Nagari which means city. Together Devanagari is translated as the “script of a sacred city”.Many languages in India including Hindi,Sanskrit and Marathi are based on this script. So more than 20% of the people living on this planet know this language and if you are in India then there is no getting away from this abstract symbols hanging on the line.
