How do you say "What Happened?" in Hindi
You have used “main kursee par baithaa hoon” for “I am sitting on the chair”.
Please clarify : is sitting = bait ragtha (present continuous tense).
That should be “main kursee par bait ragthaa hoon”. Am I not right here. Please clarify.
baith rahaa hoon = is sitting
baith rahaa thaa = was sitting

Dear Sir:
Minor correction suggested. है | Hai should be used in lieu of हैं= hain, as the following two sentences are in singular form . I mean dot and nasal sound will not be used when written/pronounced hai .
टेबल पर (table par)on the table कुर्सी टेबल पर हैं(kursee table par hain)
Chair is on the table.
हाथी पर (haathee par)On the elephant पीटर हाथी पर बैठा हैं |(peter haathee pe baitha hain)
Peter is sitting on elephant.
If you agree, please amend.
Thank you.
Suresh
You are right Suresh. I know at many places I have used “hain” where “hai” is needed. I’ll correct these mistakes soon. Thanks
