The first step of any language is to learn its alphabet. We all started from A for Apple, B for Bat and C for Cat.

Hindi is written in Devanagari script. On a paper, it is written from left to right just like English. There are 12 vowels and 36 consonants in Hindi. Fear not, all have equivalent English pronunciations. Unlike Germans and Russians, who have pronunciation signs as well. In coming lessons, you will have to master these 48 letters to start your Hindi learning journey. However,

Learning Hindi requires patience and practice. If you make up your mind to learn all 48 letters in one day, then soon you are going to give up. Make a sound language learning plan. Learn 5 letters a day. In 10 days, you will master the script. Revise and revise again. You can’t be forgetting previous lessons when you are mastering new ones. Each lesson is followed with an exercise. Make sure you are solving all of them.
